COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University baseball team fell to Auburn University Montgomery Wednesday evening 3-4 in 10 innings at Ragsdale Field. With the loss, the Cougars fall to 19-13 overall and the Warhawks improve to 19-14.
AUM hit the boards first in their first at-bats, scoring one run off of a bases loaded walk. The Warhawks extended their lead to 3-0 in the third thanks to a bases loaded two-run RBI single.
Win Johns got the Cougars on board in the fourth inning with a RBI double to left center field, plating
Colby Brabston. Brabston put CSU within one run of AUM in the fifth inning with a sacrifice fly, plating
Cody Ferguson. Johns tied the game in the seventh thanks to a sac fly to score
Andrew Rubin.
Both teams were scoreless the rest of the game, forcing an extra inning. In the top of the 10th, AUM scored off a RBI single to center field to make it 4-3.
CSU's
Peyton Burton received the loss on the mound after 2.0 innings of work. He is now 1-1. Ferguson, Brabston, Johns and Hasty each tallied two hits for the Cougars.

Columbus State will travel to Augusta University on Thursday, March 28 to play a three-game Peach Belt Conference series against the Jaguars.
