COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University baseball team run-ruled Peach Belt Conference foe Claflin University Friday 12-2 on senior night in seven innings. With the win, CSU improves to 29-19.
The Cougars tallied 12 hits in the win while the Panthers recorded three.
Isaiah Hernandez led CSU with four hits, two doubles and two RBI and
Andrew Rubin tallied two hits with a double and two RBI.Â
Win Johns and
Jackson Chizek also collected two RBI each and had one hit, while Chizek recorded a double.
Cody Ferguson,
Derek Wylie,
Colby Brabston and
Ian King also tallied one hit a piece.
Johnny Dow received the win on the mound after 5.0 innings pitched and striking out eight batters. He improves to 6-3 on the season.

CSU and Claflin will play a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1 p.m. at Ragsdale Field.
