COLUMBUS – Columbus State's Jordan Mitchell has been named the Chick-fil-A Athlete of the Week, presented by Chick-fil-A on Macon Road and Manchester Expressway, after delivering back-to-back standout performances at the Francis Marion Thanksgiving Classic.

Mitchell was electric on November 28 against Francis Marion, scoring 25 points in 39 minutes, shooting 11-of-13 from the field, including 3-of-4 from deep, while adding 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals in one of his most complete outings of the season. He followed it up the very next day against Chowan with another strong effort, finishing with 18 points, 8 boards, and solid defensive work across 34 minutes.

A native of Snellville, Ga., and a graduate of Shiloh High School, Mitchell is majoring in Kinesiology at Columbus State. His favorite quote is, "Treat people how you want to be treated."

Mitchell's consistency, efficiency, and leadership were on full display this past weekend, making him an easy pick for this week's honor.
