AUGUSTA, Ga. - Columbus State men's basketball student-athlete
Jarrett Adderton has been named the Peach Belt Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
The senior guard led the 10th-ranked Cougars to a 2-0 week, averaging 21.5 ppg and 8.5 rebounds as Columbus State clinched a share of the PBC regular-season title. Monday's honor is the third of the season for Adderton, and fourth of his career.
Adderton shot for 54% from the field in wins over Flagler (Fla.) and Lander (S.C.), knocking down 13-of-14 free throws while tacking on 3.0 assists and 1.0 blocks per contest. Opened with a double-double, scoring 22 points and grabbing 10 boards against the Saints and capped the weekend off with 21 points, seven boards, and five assists against Lander.
Adderton is fourth in the PBC in scoring, third in free throw percentage, fourth in steals, ninth in field goal percentage, and 10th in rebounding.
