CSU men's basketball continues to garner postseason honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Columbus State University men's basketball program continues to draw in honors for their historic 2024-25 campaign, earning recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Monday.

Head Coach Robert Moore and senior standout Jarrett Adderton were awarded NABC Southeast All-District honors, the national coaches association announced. All-District honors were voted on by NABC members from across Division II.

Moore was honored as Co-Coach of the Year alongside Lenoir-Rhyne's (N.C.) Brent Owen after leading the Cougars' program to one of the best seasons to date. Under Moore's leadership, CSU rose to the highest NABC ranking in program history as the sixth-best team in DII. The Cougars finished 27-5 overall which was the most wins since the 2002-03 season, including the program's first outright Peach Belt Conference Regular Season title since '02-'03 and the first NCAA tournament victory since 2005-06.

Columbus State managed to secure the top seed in the Southeast Region, hosting the regional for the first time in 22 years. CSU produced three All-PBC selections in addition to Coach of the Year and Player of the Year honors. Off the court, the Cougars impressed with a 3.25 team GPA as well.

As for Adderton, the reigning Peach Belt Conference, First-Team All-PBC selection, and D2CCA Southeast Region Player of the Year was named to the NABC Southeast All-District First Team. Adderton finished the season averaging 20.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 steals per contest. He finished with 19 games of 20-plus points and scored 30-plus three times.

Because of his stellar performance this season, Adderton has accepted an invite to showcase his talents in the 2025 NABC DII All-Star Game on Friday, Mar. 28 in Evansville, Ind. The All-Star Game will be comprised of two teams with up to 10 senior student-athletes per side with rosters selected from the NABC All-District First and Second Teams.
