AUGUSTA, Ga. - Columbus State University men's track & field athlete Dante Walls was named Peach Belt Conference Track Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Alice Coachman Invite on Saturday.

The senior from Albany, Georgia competed in front of a home crowd at the event held by Albany State, picking up a third-place finish in the 400 hurdles.

Walls crossed the finish line with a time of 53.55s, just four-tenths shy of a NCAA provisional time while marking the fastest 400 hurdles time in the PBC this season. He also finished eighth in the 110 hurdles, marking a time of 15.68s which was a personal best.

The 2022 PBC Freshman Track Athlete of the Year earns his second PBC weekly honor of his career. He last earned the award back on Mar. 28, 2023.
