Columbus, Ga. — [8-27-25] — Columbus State University Athletics is proud to announce a new partnership with Country's BBQ, one of Columbus's most beloved local restaurants, in a joint effort to strengthen community ties and inspire the next generation of Cougars fans.

Through this collaboration, kids 18 and under will receive free admission to all regular season CSU athletic events, giving families greater access to exciting college sports and fostering a lifelong love of the game.

"I am excited about our partnership with Country's BBQ, which goes beyond sports and great food," said Justin Hay, Director of Athletics. "It's about building a stronger, more connected community. We want more kids on campus and in the stands—feeling the energy of game day and becoming part of the Cougar family."

Founded on a shared commitment to community, both CSU Athletics and Country's BBQ believe in creating spaces where people can gather, cheer, and celebrate together. Whether it's in the bleachers or around the table, both organizations know the importance of shared experiences in bringing people closer.

"For the past 25 years, Country's has been fortunate to partner with Columbus State University and its athletic program," said Scott Ressmeyer. "I feel that CSU and Country's BBQ share the same core values—working with young adults, whether in sports or in the workforce, to coach and guide them to be the best they can be. In turn, this helps make Columbus a stronger, better community to live in."

The free admission program begins immediately and applies to all regular-season home games across CSU's athletic programs, including baseball, basketball, soccer, and more.
