DESTIN, Fla. — The Columbus State University Women's Golf team finished 12th overall at the Emerald Coast Collegiate, held at Sandestin Resort & Club and hosted by the University of Missouri–St. Louis. The Cougars concluded the three-round tournament with a team score of 51-over par, posting rounds of 20-over, 15-over, and 16-over during the event.
Columbus State was led by
Mia Arroyo, who recorded the team's top individual finish, tying for 35th overall with a three-round score of 13-over par. Arroyo opened the tournament with a 3-over round before posting 8-over in the second round and rebounding with a 2-over final round to lead the Cougar lineup.
Peyton Maraman and
Sydney Himes each finished tied for 41st overall, both posting 15-over par for the tournament. Maraman carded rounds of 7-over, 4-over, and 4-over, while Himes turned in scores of 8-over, 3-over, and 4-over across the three rounds.
Samantha Dewendt finished tied for 55th overall at 19-over par, recording rounds of 9-over, 4-over, and 6-over during the tournament.
Anna Holley rounded out the Cougar scoring lineup, finishing tied for 69th overall with a 23-over total after rounds of 2-over, 4-over, and 17-over.
Competing as individuals,
Kennedee Pearson finished tied for 65th overall at 21-over, while
Andrea Peraza placed 87th at 38-over par.
Columbus State will return to action Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17, when the Cougars compete at the Oldfield Intercollegiate in Okatie, South Carolina, at Oldfield Golf Course.
