2014 (Junior): Played in all 57 games for the Cougars...Led the team with 62 RBI...Hit 10 home runs and 15 doubles while batting .319...Was named All-Conference and All-Region as a catcher in 2014.

2013 (Sophomore): Had a solid season for the Cougars catching 35 of their 52 games...Hit .268 in 127 at bats...Banged 12 doubles and 2 home runs while knocking in 22 runs...Only committed 3 errors the entire season behind the plate.

2011-12 (Chattahoochee Valley CC): Played one season for head coach Adam Thomas…Helped team to ACCC Southern Division Championship in freshman season…Hit .283 in 38 games in 2011…Named Academic All-American.

High School: Graduated from Shaw High School in Columbus, GA…Played four years under head coach Mike Getkin…Named to All-Bi-City team senior year. 

Personal: Son of Todd and Lisa Averett…Lists Chipper Jones as his favorite professional athlete…Enjoys golfing and playing guitar in his spare time…Lists his dad as his hero…Chose CSU because of the proximity to home and the chance to play for a great baseball team.
