Stephen WilliamsDAHLONEGA, Ga. – Playing in the third of its four fall tournaments, the Columbus State University women's golf team is in seventh place after the opening day of the LeeAnn Noble Memorial hosted by North Georgia. The tournament is being played at the Achasta Golf Club in Dahlonega, Ga.

Columbus State carded a team score of 343 in Monday's opening round. Lee holds the lead after round one with a score of 305. West Georgia is five strokes back, while West Alabama (312), North Georgia (316) and Young Harris (324) round out the top five.

Sarah Grace Drop fired the low score of the day for the Lady Cougars. The freshman shot a seven-over par 79 over the first 18 holes and is tied for 13
th overall.

Bailey Hochgertle is in 30
th place after a first round of 86.
Shelby Banta and
Hannah Holland rounded out the CSU team score on Monday with rounds of 89. The pair is tied for 40
th.

Freshman
Jordan Booker recorded the drop score on the day with a round of 90. She will enter the second round in a 44
th-place tie.

Columbus State will return to the course on Tuesday for the final round of competition.
