Head Coach Kristin Culpepper praised her squad's effort:
"I'm really pleased with how this young team came out and handled the first day. There were numerous positives to build on, and it's clear that the team is growing more confident with every round. Of course, there are a few areas we can fine-tune, especially with our short game and course management, but that's all part of the process. I'm excited to see how we respond tomorrow and keep moving forward together!"
Columbus State will return to the course Tuesday morning for the final 18 holes of the Full Moon BBQ Invitational.
