th place after the first day of competition at the Lander Lady Bearcat Invitational. The tournament is being played at the Old South Golf Links in Bluffton, S.C.

Columbus State carded a first round score of 312 on the opening day. Saint Leo (279) holds a commanding lead after round one over second-place UNC Pembroke (293). Florida Tech (296), SCAD-Savannah (297) and Montevallo (297) round out the top five in the 14-team field.

Freshman
Hannah Holland carded the low round of the day for the Lady Cougars with a three-over par 75. Sophomore
Shelby Banta followed just behind her with a round of 77. Holland and Banta will head into Sunday's final round tied for 21
st and 35
th, respectively.

Bailey Hochgertle and
Sarah Grace Drop posted scores of 79 and 81 to round out the Columbus State team score. Hochgertle is in 45
th place, while Drop is tied for 55
th.

Jordan Booker fired the drop score of the round for the Lady Cougars, shooting a 14-over par 86. She is tied for 77
th overall.

The Lady Cougars will wrap up play with the second round on Sunday.
