th place after the opening day of play at the Armstrong Pirate Women's Invitational. The three-round, two-day event is being held at the Savannah Quarters Country Club in Pooler, Ga.

Columbus State recorded rounds of 339 and 334 to total 673 for the day. Tournament host Armstrong State (617) holds a one-stroke lead over West Georgia (618) atop the leaderboard. UNC Pembroke (632) is a distant third, while West Alabama (637) and South Carolina Beaufort (647) round out the top five.

Hannah Holland led the way for the Lady Cougars on day one. The freshman shot CSU's only round under 80 on the day with a seven-over par 79 in the first 18 of the day. She followed it up with an 85 and is in 29
th place overall.

Bailey Hochgertle turned in the second best number, shooting an 85 in the opening round before shaving three strokes off for an 82 in round two. She will enter the final round in 36
th place.

Sarah Grace Drop and
Jordan Booker each posted 171 totals through two rounds and are tied for 49
th. Drop fired scores of 87 and 84, while Booker came in with an 88 and 83.

Shelby Banta rounded out the CSU five with scores of 91 and 85. She is in 59
th place headed into round three.

Columbus State will round out play with Tuesday's final 18 holes. Teams are scheduled for a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
