COLUMBUS – Looking to rebound from a midweek loss, the top-ranked Columbus State University women's soccer team will begin Peach Belt Conference play Saturday hosting USC Aiken. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at the Walden Soccer Complex.
Last Time Out
The Lady Cougars dropped a 2-1 contest at Lee on Wednesday. CSU took a 1-0 lead into the break, but the Lady Flames scored a pair of goals in the final 45 minutes to grab the win. CSU outshot Lee 21-9 and held a 9-1 advantage in corner kicks.
Olivia Jarrell scored the Lady Cougar goal in the 12th minute. It was the second goal of the year for the sophomore.

"We have to forget about Wednesday and focus on what is ahead of us. USC Aiken is an improved team and will come in here looking to knock us off. We just need to worry about ourselves and keep improving each and every day."

About USC Aiken
The Pacers will enter Columbus with a 2-4 record and looking to snap a four-match losing streak. USC Aiken broke a three-match scoring draught against South Carolina State on Wednesday, but came up short taking a 3-2 loss at home. Prior to Wednesday's match, USC Aiken had been outscored 16-0 in the previous three matches.
Sarah Drury has two goals for USC Aiken while five others have found the back of the net. Karin Cadwalader will start in goal for the Pacers and is second in the PBC in saves with 29.
