COLUMBUS – Winners of seven straight, the 16
th-ranked Columbus State University women's soccer team will host Belmont Abbey on Wednesday. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at the Walden Soccer Complex.

Columbus State (10-1-0) blitzed Francis Marion for five first-half goals on its way to an 11-1 win on Saturday.

Last Meeting
Columbus State and Belmont Abbey met in the second round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament, with the Lady Cougars advancing behind a 2-1 victory. The Crusaders jumped in front early, but CSU rebounded to tie it before half and Stephanie Lowery gave the Lady Cougars the eventual victory with a penalty kick in the 49
th minute.
Series History
Wednesday will mark the fifth all-time meeting between the two programs and the fourth matchup in Columbus. The Lady Cougars are a perfect 4-0 all-time against the Crusaders.

Belmont Abbey (9-3-1) sits third in Conference Carolinas and has won its last two matches entering Wednesday.
The Crusaders are 3-0 this season against Peach Belt Conference opponents, defeating Francis Marion, USC Aiken and UNC Pembroke.
BAC only scores 1.77 goals per game, but holds a goals-against average of 0.97.
Sophomore Morgan Patton leads the way with seven goals and four assists on the season.
CSU Notes
Columbus State added to its nation-leading scoring output last week and is now up to 5.27 goals per game, 0.80 ahead of second place Grand Valley State.

Flo Spano are all tied for the PBC lead with seven assists, and rank fifth in all of Division II.
Meghan Cottingham and
Kelly Hendricks became the seventh and eighth different Lady Cougars to score multiple goals in a match this season.
During its seven-match winning streak, CSU has outscored its opposition 40-5.
