COLUMBUS – The NCAA Tournament journey continues for the 10
th-ranked Columbus State University women's soccer team on Friday, as the Lady Cougars take on second-ranked Carson-Newman in the Southeast Region final. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Jefferson City, Tenn.

Last Meeting
Columbus State and Carson-Newman last met in the 2015 Southeast Region final in Tennessee, with the Lady Cougars tallying a 4-1 victory.
Olivia Jarrell netted a pair of goals, while
Cassandra Wade also got on the board.
Series History
Friday's match will be the ninth all-time meeting between the two programs and sixth in NCAA Tournament history. CSU is 5-3 against the Eagles, 3-2 in the postseason. Columbus State defeated C-N for the 2008 and 2015 region titles, while the Eagles beat CSU in the 2009 final.

Carson-Newman (18-0-1) is the top seed in the Southeast Region after capturing the South Atlantic Conference regular season and tournament titles.
The Eagles defeated fifth-seeded Queens 2-0 in the NCAA second round Sunday.
C-N is riding a 19-match unbeaten streak at home over the last two seasons. It's last loss came against Columbus State in the 2015 region final.
The Eagles enter the regional final as the fifth-highest scoring attack in the country at 3.21 goals per match.
Lauren Wade leads the Eagles with 16 goals and 12 assists, while Magda Mosengo has 11 of each.
CSU Notes
The Lady Cougars are aiming for their fourth consecutive region title after defeating Lenoir-Rhyne, Carson-Newman and North Georgia the last three seasons.
CSU is 4-1-1 in six all-time appearances in the regional final.
Columbus State had seven players named to the D2CCA All-Southeast Region team on Wednesday, the most of any program in the region.
With her goal Sunday against Flagler,
Olivia Jarrell has now scored 14 postseason goals in her three seasons.
