th-ranked Columbus State University women's soccer team will host No. 23 West Florida on Thursday at the Walden Soccer Complex. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.

CSU and West Florida have met six previous times, with UWF holding a 4-2-0 advantage. However, the Lady Cougars defeated the Argos twice last season, winning in the national quarterfinals and a regular season meeting in Pensacola, Fla.

UWF (6-1-0) opened the season with five straight wins before falling 1-0 against Mississippi College last week.

The Argos rebounded with a 5-0 victory on Sunday over Delta State.

Similar to the Lady Cougars, West Florida has outscored its opposition 24-4 through seven matches this season.

Junior Deneisha Blackwood leads the way for the Argos with five goals on the season, but 11 different players have tallied at least one goal.

Thursday will mark Columbus State's third time this season it has matched up against an opponent from last year's NCAA Tournament.

The Lady Cougars defeated Grand Valley State (national semifinals), lost to North Georgia (Southeast Region final) and now will host West Florida (national quarterfinals).

CSU continues to rank among the country's best in points per game (second), assists per game (third) and goals per game (fourth).
