COLUMBUS – The Columbus State University men's basketball team will host Francis Marion on Monday hoping to snap a two-game slide. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in the Lumpkin Center.

Last Time Out
Columbus State (3-8, 3-5 PBC) erased a 14-point deficit over the final 10 minutes, but fell 73-69 against UNC Pembroke on Saturday.
JaCori Payne led the Cougars with 21 points, while
Jalen Thomas finished with a season-high 14.

th meeting in the all-time series between the two. Columbus State is 27-16 against the Patriots.
Last Meeting
Columbus State led for the majority of the first half, but a late run put the Patriots ahead at the break and they finished it off for a 90-81 win in December.
JaCori Payne went for 26 points, with
Marcus Dixon adding 14 points and 15 rebounds.
About Francis Marion
Francis Marion (9-4, 4-4) started the season with eight straight wins, but has lost four of its last five.
The Patriots took a 93-71 loss at Georgia Southwestern on Saturday in which they allowed GSW to shoot 56 percent for the game.
Over the first eight games of the season, FMU shot better than 49 percent as a team, while the Patriots are shooting just under 40 percent in their last five.
Detrek Browning continues to lead the PBC in scoring at 23.3 points per game and scored 27 points in the first meeting with CSU.
CSU Notes
Columbus State's offense stepped up in Saturday's second half, shooting 45 percent overall and 5-for-10 from 3 in the final 20 minutes.
Despite being outsized, the Cougars outscored UNC Pembroke 38-22 inside the paint.
CSU also forced 18 UNCP turnovers, the second-highest total of the season for the Braves.
JaCori Payne was a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line Saturday, making his 14-for-14 over the last three games.
