COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University women's soccer team will travel to Greenwood, S.C. on Saturday to face off against Lander. The Peach Belt Conference match is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Van Taylor Stadium with real-time statistics and live video available on CSUCougars.com.
About the Columbus State University Lady Cougars
Columbus State will be in search of its first Peach Belt Conference victory of the season after falling 2-1 to sixth-ranked Flagler on Wednesday.
The Lady Cougars are also looking to snap a two-match losing streak on Saturday.
Eight different Lady Cougars have scored goals this season.
Riley Clark leads the way with five with
Kimmy May (four) and
Maddy Peterson (three) each ranking inside the top-15 in the PBC this season for goals.
About the Lander University Bearcats
Lander will enter Saturday with a 3-3-1 overall record. In Peach Belt action, the Bearcats are 1-0-1.
After only scoring one goal in its previous four matches, Lander exploded for five in a shutout victory over Francis Marion on Wednesday. Emily Jermstad netted a hat trick for the Bearcats in the contest.
Jermstad is third in the PBC in goals (six) and fourth in points (14). Brianna Taylor has two goals and three assists as well. Sarah Owen is the starting goalkeeper for the Bearcats posting a 0.77 goals-against average in over 585 minutes.
Series History
The Lady Cougars are currently on an eight-match winning streak against Lander dating back to the 2013 season. Overall, CSU holds a 15-1-2 record over the Bearcats, including a 6-0-2 mark in Greenwood.
Team Notes
• Saturday's contest will be CSU's first road PBC match of the season. The Lady Cougars have won their past five conference games on the road.
• The Lady Cougars have recorded 11 or more shots in all nine matches this season. CSU posted 15 in its last match against No. 6 Flagler.
• Columbus State leads the Peach Belt in corner kicks with 76.
• CSU has had 12 corner kicks in each of the last three matches.

Riley Clark has scored in consecutive matches for the first time this season. Last year, she netted a goal in at least two straight matches on four different occasions.

In addition to having one of the best home records at the NCAA Division II level since 2010, Columbus State makes itself comfortable on other Peach Belt Conference campuses. Over that time, the Lady Cougars own a 44-5-2 record in PBC matches away from Columbus.
Fall Magic
The Lady Cougars have been once of the most successful programs in the entire nation since 2013, but in the month of October, CSU seems to hit its stride. Over the last six-plus seasons, Columbus State has posted a record of 51-4 in the month of October. The .927 winning percentage is the highest of any month for CSU.
Entlich Among the Nation's Best
Since starting the program in 2004, Jay Entlich has established CSU women's soccer into a national powerhouse. With an overall record of 263-61-24 at CSU, he is the winningest coach in PBC history. His overall coaching record of 285-77-24 puts him eighth all-time at the NCAA Division II level.
He has coached four PBC Player of the Year award winners and has been named the conference's Coach of the Year in every season since 2014.
