• CSU will look to continue their momentum from its win over Georgia Southwestern Wednesday night 72-70, with a late 3-pointer by Kalen Clifton to lift the Cougars to victory. The senior scored a team-high 19 points after going 8-for-14 from the field.
• The Cougars have four players who are averaging 10 or more points per game. Freshman Christian Chambers leads the way averaging 13.9 points while both Clifton and Hunter Preston chip in 11.7 per night. Anthony Moore (10.09 ppg) is the other Cougar averaging in double-digits.
• In Wednesday’s game against the GSW, the Cougars took advantage when at the free throw line going 20-for-26. The 26 made at the stripe were a season-high.
• Clifton ranks fifth in the PBC with a 57.4% FG%. He has shot over 55% in four of the seven games this year.
• Nelson Haskin has been one of the best post defenders in the league in his first season. The junior college transfer is leading the PBC averaging two blocks per game while rejecting at least one shot a night over the past six games.
• The Cougars are the best 3-point defending team in the PBC holding their opponents to a 29.4% mark from downtown.
