COLUMBUS - Columbus State University women's basketball player
Emilia Tenbrock is taking part in the U20 German Basketball Federation training sessions at the legendary Kienbaum Federal Training Center this week.
Tenbrock is one of only 18 players from all across Germany chosen to participate in the trials and is the only NCAA Division II representative.
In her first year in Columbus, Tenbrock averaged 13.5 points and five rebounds per game over a shortened season. She scored at least 10 or more points in each of the final three games this season and netted a season-high 20 points against UNC Pembroke. The German was efficient, shooting 49.3 percent from the floor and averaged a steal a night on the defensive side of the court.
Participating in national team activities is nothing new for Tenbrock. She has made numerous appearances for the U18 team for the country since 2016. She has also won 3x3 events in the past, including the 2015 Berlin Championship and the 2016 Amsterdam Championship. Last summer, Tenbrock was invited to participate in summer activities with the U18 German national team in 2020.
