COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University men's basketball team will look to sweep the season series of Young Harris on Wednesday night as the Cougars host the Mountain Lions at 7:30 p.m. in Peach Belt Conference play inside the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center.
LAST TIME OUT
• The Cougars (15-7, 6-6 PBC) couldn't get its offense going, shooting a season-worst 33.8% in a 69-60 loss to No. 21 Flagler College in Saint Augustine, Fla. on Saturday.

COUGAR NOTES
• The Cougars are currently in fifth in the PBC standings entering Wednesday. CSU is one game ahead of the University of North Georgia and two games back from Georgia College from the crucial fourth spot. The top-eight teams advance to the PBC Tournament, but the top four will host quarterfinal games on March 1
• Columbus State hasn't grabbed more rebounds than its opponent in nine straight games. CSU is still sixth in the PBC in rebounding margin, holding a slim 0.1 margin
• CSU is 14-0 this season when shooting 39.4% are better
• Despite having a better shooting percentage on the road, the Cougars shoot the 3-ball better inside the Lumpkin Center in 2021-22. CSU is shooting 33.9% from downtown in Columbus compared to 30.7% on the road. Columbus State has shot under 30% from 3 just once this year

• Young Harris (5-17, 2-11) is in the midst of a down year, but the Mountain Lions have won two of the last three games.YHC fell 85-75 in its most recent outing at Clayton State University on Saturday
• If the season ended after Wednesday, YHC would be one of two teams that wouldn't qualify for the PBC Tournament. The Mountain Lions are currently in last and are three games behind Lander University in the loss column for the eighth and final spot
• Carl Cleveland (15.2 ppg, 7.2 reb/g) and Karl Chavis (14.9 ppg, 6.5 reb/g) are the main threats on offense for YHC. Cleveland is shooting 49.6% (111-for-224) this season, including a cool 36.8% (28-for-76) from deep.
• Seth McCoy is one of the best 3-point shooters in the PBC, ranking second in the league with a 41.8% (59-for-141) clip. Overall, YHC is 14th in the nation (DII level) in 3-pointers made this season with 229
