COLUMBUS - The No. 2 Columbus State University men's tennis team will finally return to the court on Wednesday against Division I Alabama State University following two postponements. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m. eastern time at the Ocean Black Underwood Tennis Complex in Montgomery, Ala.
COUGAR NOTES
• Columbus State (1-0) has one match under its belt in 2022, a 7-0 sweep of Anderson University on Feb. 2. The Cougars didn't drop a set in the victory

Javier Cueto Ramos has won 19 straight singles matches dating back to last season
• CSU has won 34 straight regular-season matches dating back to the 2019 season

Tommaso Schold and
Pietro Martinetti have combined to go 28-3 as a doubles team since the start of 2020. The duo are ranked third in the nation.Â
• Wednesday kicks off a stretch of three matches in four days for the Cougars. CSU will host Auburn University Montgomery on Friday, Feb. 11, and the University of West Alabama on Saturday, Feb. 12Â
ALABAMA STATE NOTES
• Alabama State (0-1) lost its lost match of the year so far on Feb. 1 against Troy University. ASU wasn't able to grab a point, despite taking three singles matches into a third set.
• ASU are members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference and reached the SWAC Tournament championship match in 2021. Overall, the Hornets went 9-6 last seasonÂ
• Both of Alabama State's top-two singles players return from last season in Ruan Du Preez and Chris Andre. Du Preeze played in the top spot last week against Troy despite going 6-5 at second singles last yearÂ
• ASU has hosted Columbus State once in previous seasons with the Cougars grabbing a 4-0 win on Feb. 9, 2020 n Montgomery.Â
