AUGUSTA, Ga. - Columbus State University softball player Hannah Rose Corbin continues to impress as the junior was named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The slugger hit two grand slams and collected 11 RBIs over last weekend's Gulf Shores Invitational. She recorded a hit in every game and finished the week batting .500 with six hits and two walks. 

In the Cougars season opener against No. 23 Alabama-Huntsville, Corbin hit her first grand slam of the weekend and finished with five RBIs on the day. She guided the Cougars to a 6-5 win over Mississippi College after hitting her second grand slam in the bottom of the fifth inning and pitching the complete game, notching eight strikeouts. 

Corbin's 11 RBIs currently rank third in NCAA Division II after the opening week. 

It's the third time Corbin has been named PBC Player of the Week, but it's her ninth overall PBC weekly award. 

Columbus State and Corbin will be back in action in this weekend's Cougar Classic beginning on Friday, Feb. 11. CSU's first game will be at 1:15 p.m. against the University of Montevallo.
