AUGUSTA, Ga.- The sixth-seeded Columbus State University men's basketball team is set to play in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Quarterfinals on Thursday, March 2 against the third-seeded North Georgia Nighthawks at 7:30 p.m. inside the Christenberry Fieldhouse on Augusta University's campus.
The Cougars will be the visiting team and the Nighthawks will be the home team. Columbus State finished with a 15-13 overall record on the season and was 8-10 in PBC play. North Georgia had a record of 20-6 and 13-4 in conference play.
UNG won both meetings against the Cougars by scores of 92-81 and 60-55. Columbus State is led by now 2-time PBC Defensive Player of the Year,
Nelson Haskin. North Georgia is led by the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year, Frank Champion.
