INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Tennis Committee has selected the 48 teams that will be participating in the 2023 NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championship and the Columbus State University Cougars were announced the first seed in the Southeast Region.
The Cougars will be one of the sixteen regional sites of the preliminary-rounds at the John W. Walden Tennis Center in Columbus, Ga. and will be played on Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29. The winning team from each site will advance to the finals, May 11-15, in Orlando, Fla. Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission will serve as hosts.
The Cougars will match up against 8th-seeded Belmont Abbey on Friday at 9 a.m. Augusta and North Georgia will also be playing in Columbus and will compete at 1 p.m. on Friday. The winners of each match will play on Saturday at 1 p.m.
