ALBANY, Ga. - The Columbus State University track and field team competed at the Annual Alice Coachman Invitational on Saturday, April 8. Despite the rainy weather, the Cougars had a strong showing with the final results from the meet still pending.
Men's Field Events
- Justin Love took first in the men's hammer throw with a throw of 42.45m (139'3")
- Tereil Mitchum placed third in the hammer throw with a mark of 40.85m (134'0")
- Luke Herron placed fourth in the hammer throw with a throw of 40.61m (133'2")
- Jackson Fulks outjumped the competition as he took first place in the long jump with a mark of 6.91m (22'8")
- Kam Collier placed sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.95m (42'6")
- In the javelin, Tyreik Warren took sixth place with a throw of 36.96m (121'3")
Final Results are still pending for pole vault, high jump, shot put, and discus.
Men's Track Events
- Elijah Sires won the men's 1500m run with a time of 4:06.36
- Freshman Reece Pasley placed third in the 1500m run with a time of 4:10.19, freshman Owen Hartshorn finished fourth with a time of 4:11.41, and freshman Mark Ravenscraft came in sixth with a time of 4:15.91
- In the 400m hurdles, Dante Walls took second place with a time of 57.03sec and freshman Mark Ravenscraft crossed the line in third place with a time of 57.20
- Savian Taylor placed first in the 800m crossing the line with a time of 1:53.63
- Jackson Fulks took third in the 200m leaning across the line with a time of 22.10 sec
- Kameron Collier placed fourth in the 110m high hurdles with a time of 15.97m sec
- In the men's 400m Jailen Dalton placed eighth, stopping the clock at 51.29 sec
- In the 100m, Stacy Lumpkin finished sixth with a time of 10.95 sec
- The 4x100m relay team placed second with a time of 42.65 sec
Women's Field Events
- Freshman Deandra Downer took fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 9.91m (32'6"), followed by teammate Tieria Malone who came in fifth with a jump of 9.06m (29'8")
- In the hammer throw, Cyan Green placed third with a mark of 40.98m (134'5")
- Kailyn Thomas placed sixth in the hammer throw, throwing 39.19m (128'7") and teammate Ar'Rionne Hickson finished in 10th with a throw of 34.40m (112'10")
Final Results are still pending for pole vault, high jump, shot put, and discus.
Women's Track Events
- Alesia Johnson stopped the clock at 1:12.02 placing second in the 400m hurdles. Johnson also ran 59.52 seconds in the 400m earning her third place and in the 200m she crossed the line with a time of 26.80sec placing sixth
- In the 1500m run, Emily Marin placed fifth with a time of 5:28.20
- Freshman Kaeleigh Brooks placed sixth in the 1500 m with a time of 5:35.15 and Hannah Hutchens crossed the line in seventh place with a time of 6:22.55
- Freshman D'Azhia Woods placed sixth in the 100m running a personal best of 12.77 sec. Woods also placed third in the 200m crossing the line at 25.93 sec
- De'Aisha Stephens placed seventh in the 400m crossing the line at 1:02.95

The Peach Belt Conference Championship will take place on Thursday, April 20 and Friday, April 21 in Daytona, Fla.
