AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has released the 2024 Women's Soccer All-Conference Awards on Thursday morning, as selected by the league's coaches.
Columbus State University had six players named First-Team All-PBC honorees with two other earning Second-Team All-PBC nods. Individually, junior goalkeeper
Heidi Harris was named Defensive Player of the Year, Head Coach
Jay Entlich was named Coach of the Year, and
Abigail Akerson secured the Elite 18 Award.
Defensive Player of the Year presented by College Ave
- Heidi Harris, Goalkeeper – Harris gathered the program's second Defensive Player of the Year honors in the three-year history of the award, joining former standout Carly Canzoneri. Harris leads the PBC in goals against average with 0.45 and has only been scored on seven times this season, adding 36 saves in the process.
Coach of the Year presented by College Ave
- Jay Entlich – Coach Entlich claimed his 10th PBC Coach of the Year honor and is looking to capture his 10th PBC tournament title this weekend. He has led CSU to #2 in the nation and the PBC Regular Season Championship, going 9-0 in conference play.
Elite 18 Presented by Barnes & Noble College
- Abigail Akerson – Akerson was tabbed the Elite 18 Award winner. The honor is modeled after the NCAA Elite 90 Award, which is given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA at the championship. Akerson joins Canzoneri who earned the honor last season.
