COLUMBUS – After 10 days away from competition, the Columbus State Men's Basketball team returns to action with a road contest at West Florida on Tuesday night.
 
The Cougars (4-1) look to continue their two-game winning streak with another notch in the win column on Tuesday against the Argonauts (1-3) in the UWF Field House in Pensacola, Fla. CSU and UWF will tip-off at 8:30 p.m. ET.
 
Scouting the Argonauts
 
West Florida has one just one contest in four competitions this season and will welcome Columbus State to Pensacola for their home opener on Tuesday night. The Argonauts are coming off a 94-86 loss at Spring Hill (Ala.) on Thursday.
 
Offensively, UWF has three players that are averaging double-digit points this season with Le'Tarion White leading the way with an average of 11.0 points per game while shooting for 51.3% from the field. Off the glass, Zondrick Garrett leads with an average of 7.8 rebounds per contest followed by Kyle McElroy with an average of 6.0.
 
As a team, the Argonauts average 70 points per game and are currently shooting for 44.6% from the field, 27.3% from three, and 66.2% from the foul line. UWF averages 7.0 steals per game and 3.0 blocks as well.
 
Justin Mann assumed duties as the head coach in January of 2024 and has produced a 7-20 record since his hiring.
 
Previewing the Cougars
 
Columbus State looks to continue their positive form after the 10-hiatus. Jarrett Adderton leads the charge offensively with average of 19.0 points per game and is shooting for 53.2% from the field and 87% from the foul line.
 
Jehloni James follows behind with an average of 16.6 points per game and leads the rebounding efforts with an average of 6.8 boards per game as well as 1.2 blocks.
 
The Cougars are averaging 80.2 points per game and hold a scoring margin of 7.2. CSU is shooting 46.3% from the field, 32.3% from three, and 70% from the foul line as a team. Columbus State has produced back-to-back seasons with four or more wins in the first five games.
 
CSU is 2-7 versus UWF but haven't played the Argonauts since the 2010-11 season.
