COLUMBUS - Columbus State University men's basketball has appeared in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches Division II rankings, earning 83 voting points to jump into the top 25 at number 19 in the poll.
 
The Cougars appear in the top 25 for the first time since the 2016-17 season after opening the season with a 9-1 record before heading into the New Year. Columbus State is the lone Peach Belt Conference member in the top 25 while North Georgia is in the receiving votes section.
 
CSU has had one of the program's best starts under the leadership of Coach Robert Moore and are currently riding a seven-game winning streak. Columbus State will take on Middle Georgia on Jan. 2 at the Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center before taking on PBC play on Jan. 4 at Augusta.
