AUGUSTA, Ga. - Columbus State men's basketball student-athlete Jarrett Adderton has been named the Peach Belt Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
 
The senior from Decatur, Ga. was honored with the weekly recognition after his stellar performances last week versus Francis Marion (S.C.) and Georgia College.
 
Adderton averaged 27 points and six rebounds per contest, leading the Cougars to a pair of wins. His 30 points at Georgia College highlighted the week, netting the game-winner with 14 seconds left in a 61-60 conference opener. Prior to Saturday's win at GCSU, Adderton scored 24 with six rebounds against FMU, shooting for 58% (7-of-12) from three and 11-of-12 from the foul line.
 
The talented guard currently leads the PBC and is 17th in NCAA Division II in scoring with 22.3 ppg. He also ranks eighth in the league in field goal percentage, fifth in three-pointer made per game, and 11th in steals.
 
Adderton notches his first PBC weekly honor while at Columbus State and his second career honor.
 
The Cougars return to action on Dec. 17 with a home game versus Reinhardt (Ga.) at 7 p.m. ET in the Frank G. Lumpkin, Jr. Center.
