COLUMBUS – The United Soccer Coaches Association announced the second regular season rankings for NCAA Division II on Tuesday and after moving to a 4-0-0 record, the Columbus State University Women's Soccer program has entered the top ten this week, leaping to No. 6 in the country.
The Lady Cougars remain unbeaten after a solid showing down in Daytona Beach, Fla. this weekend, downing Embry-Riddle in a 4-1 match. Last week, Columbus State was ranked 17th after jumping from 23rd in the preseason poll.
Columbus State is now the lone Peach Belt Conference member in the top 25 as North Georgia is now appearing in the receiving votes section of the poll.
CSU continues action tomorrow with an 11 a.m. ET clash against Tusculum (Tenn.) at the Walden Soccer Complex. The Lady Cougars will open PBC play on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET, hosting Georgia College.
