Adderton Captures Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week Honors

The senior guard secures his second PBC honor of the season

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Columbus State men's basketball student-athlete Jarrett Adderton has been named the Peach Belt Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon.
 
The senior guard secured his third weekly recognition of his career and second this season for his career-best scoring performance against Georgia Southwestern.
 
Adderton dropped 35 points and gathered six rebounds to lead the No. 25-ranked Cougars to a 94-89 victory against the Hurricanes. He also added four steals, two assists, and two blocks while shooting 12-of-21 from the field and 11-of-12 from the foul line.
 
The talented guard is second in the PBC and is 17th in NCAA Division II in scoring with 22.5 ppg. He also ranks second in the league in steals per game (1.9), eighth in field goal percentage (.531), and ninth in three-pointers made per game (2.1).
 
Adderton and the Cougars have three PBC contests this week beginning with the challenging test at North Georgia on Monday night followed by home games against Clayton State (Ga.) and USC Aiken (S.C.).
