COLUMBUS – The Columbus State University Men's Basketball program has been recognized among the nation's best heading into the 2025–26 season, earning the No. 16 spot in the NABC/Division II Preseason Rankings.

The Cougars are coming off a stellar 2024–25 campaign that saw them post a 27–5 record, advancing deep into postseason play while securing a reputation as one of the top programs in the Southeast Region. CSU closed last year ranked No. 8 nationally and returns with high expectations under head coach Robert Moore.

Columbus State will officially tip off the new season on Friday, Nov. 14, squaring off against Southern Wesleyan University in Mars Hill, N.C. opening tip is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET.
With momentum from last season's success, the Cougars look to make another strong run at the Peach Belt Conference crown and a return to the NCAA Tournament.
