Basketball Hosts Lander on Saturday

Cougars take on the Bearcats at 1:30 & 3:30 ET

COLUMBUS – Columbus State University men's and women's basketball welcome Lander (S.C.) to the Frank G. Lumpkin Jr. Center for a Peach Belt Conference doubleheader.

Women's Basketball vs Lander

The Lady Cougars (17-7, 11-4 PBC) The Lady Cougars look to bounce back after a tough loss to Flagler at home on Wednesday, falling 76-71 to the Saints. Letiya Reeves led the way with 23 points, shooting 7-of-15 from the field and 6-of-6 from the foul line.
 
Reeves is just one point away from 1,000 career points at CSU. She is currently averaging 15.9 ppg and is on a three-game streak of 20+ points, reaching at least 20 points eight times this season. Columbus State last met Lander back on Jan. 26 and fell in a 10-point loss in Greenwood, S.C. The Lady Cougars look to return to the win column three games to play in the regular season.
 
Lander (11-11, 6-9 PBC) is on a two-game skid, dropping a 58-53 loss to Augusta on Wednesday. The Bearcats have three players who averaged double figures this season with Quadaija Langley leading with 16.1 ppg. The Bearcats average 65.6 ppg and are shooting 39.9% from the field, 27.2% from three, and 65.1% from the foul line.

#10 Men's Basketball vs Lander

The #10-ranked Cougars (22-3, 13-2 PBC) remain a force to be reckoned with in the PBC with just three games remaining. CSU sits atop of the standings with a chance to secure the regular season title on Saturday with a win and a loss from second-place Augusta.
 
Jarrett Adderton remains the leading factor in the offense that generates 80.6 ppg. Adderton averages 19.7 ppg followed by Jehloni James with 14.8 ppg. CSU is on a six-game winning wave with just two losses since the new year began.
 
Lander is in the middle of the pack of the PBC, taking a big win from Augusta on Wednesday. Lander has won three of the last four games and look to spoil a potential party for the Cougars.
 
The Bearcats average 78.3 ppg and are shooting for nearly 48% as a team while also shooting 36.6% from three and 72.5% from the foul line. Noah Dunn and Inady Legiste lead the way with 18.0 and 16.3 ppg, respectively.
