AUGUSTA, Ga.  – Columbus State women's tennis student-athlete Mariana Ramirez secured her second career Peach Belt Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week honor.

The graduate student from Colombia captured the match-deciding point against #13 Wingate with her 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-0) rally against Fernanda Castillo at #2 singles.

She partnered with Nikoline Gullacksen to defeat the #1 Wingate doubles team of Kotara and Kosmrlj 6-4.

Against Catawba, she led her matches in singles and doubles, but both were unfinished when the match was decided.

This honor is the second of her career and the first this season.
