AUGUSTA, Ga. - Columbus State University women's track & field student-athletes Deandra Downer and Nakhia Montgomery swept the Peach Belt Conference Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards for their performances at the Montevallo Falcon Classic.

Montgomery raced in the 100-meter and 200-meter races, capturing third in the 100 with a time of 12.14s followed by a time of 25.39s in the 200. She leads the PBC for the fastest time in both events so far this season.

Downer finished in fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.90m which is the longest in the PBC this season. She also competed in the 200m as well.

Both Downer and Montgomery pick up their first weekly honors of their careers.
