AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference has released the 2024-25 Men's Basketball All-Conference Awards on Thursday morning, as selected by the league's coaches.
Jarrett Adderton and Head Coach
Robert Moore highlighted with individual honors while the Cougars produced two First-Team All-PBC selections as well as a Third-Team All-PBC nod.
Player of the Year – Jarrett Adderton
Adderton took the court by storm this season and elevated himself to become the top player in the league and a First-Team All-PBC selection, averaging 20.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.8 steals per contest. He produced three games of 30-plus points, setting the league's second-highest single-game scoring performance with 36 against USC Beaufort. Adderton has become the first Cougar to hold the honor since Yandel Brown in 2004-05.
In addition, the senior guard recorded 16 games of 20-plus points and produced two double-doubles. During PBC play, Adderton produced a 45.7% field goal percentage, shooting for 38.3% from three, and 88.2% from the foul line also. Averaged 19.8 ppg against conference opponents and scored over 350 points across 18 conference games.
This season, Adderton was named PBC Player of the Week four times this season, moving his career total to five. He finished the regular season with back-to-back honors. Adderton has scored nearly 600 points in his senior campaign and looks to continue to add to his impressive tally with post season play ahead.
Herbert Greene Coach of the Year – Robert Moore
Coach Moore earned his second Herbert Greene Coach of the Year honor and the first outright recognition after previously earning Co-Coach of the Year honors during the 2015-16 season. Moore has led CSU to new heights in the historic 2024-25 campaign that has lifted the Cougars to sixth in the nation, the highest ranking in program history. The 2024-25 season is the fifth 20-plus win from Coach Moore and the most wins in his 15-year career at the helm of the program.
The Cougars are 26-3 this season and continue to roll with post season play this weekend. CSU finished the regular season 25-3 and 16-2 in conference action. Columbus State is riding a 10-game winning streak and are poised to make serious noise in the national tournament as the top-rated team in the Southeast Region.
First-Team All-PBC – Jehloni James
James has been a threat for conference opponents and anyone who has stood in the way of the Cougars this season. The graduate student has crucial on both ends of the floor for CSU, averaging 14.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game.
During the regular season, Jehloni has produced five double-doubles and 13 games of 15-plus points. Against conference foes, James shot for 53% from the field, 38.2% from three, and 51% from the foul line while averaged 13.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
Third-Team All-PBC – Wisdom Uboh
Uboh earned Third-Team All-PBC honors after a solid senior campaign, averaging 13.3 points and 3.6 assists per contest. Produced eight games of 15 or more points. Scored a season-high 24 points at Georgia Southwestern and made a career-high seven threes in the win versus Middle Georgia.
He dropped 57 threes so far this season, shooting for 39.6% from long range while also shooting 41.6% from the field. In addition, Uboh dished out a team second-best 90 assists this season and gathered 25 steals as well.
