AUGUSTA, Ga. — Columbus State women's tennis gathers a share of the Peach Belt Conference Regular Season title after the conclusion of the highly-competitive season on Monday.
The Lady Cougars finished PBC play 5-1 and closed out with a 13-5 overall record. CSU finished alongside North Georgia and Flagler (Fla.) to be named 2024-25 PBC Regular-Season Co-Champions as all three teams at the top of the PBC standings finished 1-1 against each other.
In addition, the PBC has released the bracket for the 2025 Wen's Tennis Tournament with Columbus State earning the three seed. The PBC's third step of the tiebreaker was forced, using current ITA rankings to seed the tied teams.
In the rankings released on April 16, North Georgia is ranked #4, Flagler #5 and Columbus State #10. Therefore, the PBC Tournament seeds will be UNG #1, Flagler #2 and CSU #3. This is the second straight season the PBC has had to use ITA rankings to break a three-way tie between CSU, Flagler and UNG.
Play begins on Friday, April 25, from the John W. Walden Tennis Center in Columbus with Columbus State University serving as the host for the fifth straight year.
