TEMPE, Ariz. – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) has announced the Division II Women's Tennis All-American honors for the 2024-25 season.
Nikoline Gullacksen and
Mariana Ramirez were recognized as an All-American Doubles pairing while Gullacksen was named a Singles All-American.
Gullacksen was tabbed the DII Southeast Region's Most Improved Player for this season and has been a staple in the national ranks. The First-Team All-PBC selection has now become a two-time ITA All-American, completing the 2024-25 campaign with an 18-6 overall record. She captured the ITA Southeast Regional Singles Championship and made a semifinal appearance at the ITA Cup in the fall.
As for doubles, Gullacksen and Ramirez were a threat to be reckoned with this season as one of the top doubles pairings in the nation. The duo finished with a 14-4 overall record and a 3-1 record in PBC action. They paired up for the ITA Southeast Regional Doubles Championship and won the title earlier this season.
The criteria for ITA All-American singles honors are finishing in the top 20 of the final ITA National Singles Rankings. All-American recognition is awarded to doubles teams who finish in the top 10 of the final ITA National Doubles Rankings.
In addition to the All-American honors, Columbus State women's tennis ranked ninth in the latest ITA Rankings on May 29. Gullacksen finished ranked 10th in singles play with Ramirez ranked 32nd. As for doubles, the duo finished as the seventh-ranked pairing.
