PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – No. 13-ranked Columbus State University men's golf continued play at the NCAA Division II National Championship on Tuesday with second round action in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Columbus State fell seven spots on the team leaderboard to 11th after posting a 12-over performance as a squad with a 36-hole score of 13-over (589).
Pate Stansell surged up the leaderboard with the lone under-par round for the Cougars tied for 11th in the individual standings with a 36-hole score of one-under. Stansell carded a one-under 71, cleaning up a double-bogey start to finish even-par on the front and closing with a one-under back nine.

Bernard Meyer followed with a four-over 76, tied for 25th individually. After a solid 35 on the front nine, the junior carded a 41 on the back to sit at one-over so far for the tournament.
Martin Gruendemann also carded a 76 to finish day two tied for 38th with a 36-hole score of three-over.
Russell Makepeace and
Frederick Chappell round out the Cougars with five over 77s on Tuesday. Makepeace sits tied for 83rd with a two-round total of 10-over while Chappell is tied for 92nd with a total of 12-over.
