NORMAN, Okla. – Two members from the Columbus State University men's golf team have been recognized as NCAA Division II PING All-Region sections announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Wednesday afternoon.
Martin Gruendemann and
Bryant Vail were named to the 19-man Southeast All-Region Team. 12 of the 19 student-athletes listed were members of fellow Peach Belt Conference programs.
Gruendemann, a Second-Team All-PBC selection has totaled a 71.1 scoring average across 33 rounds this season, ranking 14th in the region and 36th national according to CLIPPD. He has won once and has finished within the top 10 in three tournaments, including last week's NCAA South/Southeast Regional.
For Vail, he ranks 15th in the region and 40th in the country in the CLIPPD rankings. He as carded 12 rounds this season for a 71.5 scoring average. He has produced a top five and a top 10 finish with just four tournaments played.
This is the second-straight season a CSU student-athlete has earned PING All-Region honors.
