Jarrett Adderton Signs with A.C. Papagou in Greece

The Decatur, Ga. native is headed to Athens, Greece to play pro basketball

COLUMBUS – Standout guard Jarrett Adderton of the Columbus State men's basketball program has signed a professional contract to continue his basketball career with A.C. Papagou in Greece as reported by Eurobasket.com.

A.C. Papagou is based in Athens, Greece and competes in the Elite League, which is the second-tier division of professional basketball in the country.

The NABC All-American had a standout senior campaign, earning a plethora of awards for his stellar performances on the hardwood.

He racked up numerous awards for his final season in Columbus which included, Peach Belt Conference Player of the Year, NABC All-American, D2CCA Southeast Region Player of the Year, NABC First-Team All-District, NABC All-Star, PBC All-Tournament Team, and First-Team All-PBC.

"I am so happy to see Jarrett has accomplished his goal of becoming a pro basketball player," Head Coach Robert Moore said. "He has received a lot of accolades this season as a Cougar, and they all have been well deserved. I wish him the best on his new journey in the pro ranks."

The guard from Decatur, Ga. started in all 32 games, averaging 34.3 minutes per game. He led the program to a PBC regular season title and an NCAA Southeast Regional Second Round appearance.

Offensively, he led scoring with 657 points for an average of 20.5 per game, shooting for 48.1% from the field, 43.3% from three, and 85.4% from the foul line. In addition, he averaged 5.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. He scored a career-high 36 points with 15 made field goals at USC Beaufort back in Feburary.

In just two seasons with CSU, Adderton tallied over 1,100 points for an average of 18.2 points per contest, totaling 61 appearances for the Cougars. He finished as a two-time All-PBC selection and a four-time PBC Player of the Week, representing the CSU men's basketball program.
