COLUMBUS – Columbus State University Men's Basketball player
Lee Langstaff II was named as Columbus State Athletics Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Chick-fil-A on Macon Road and Manchester Expressway, following a pair of efficient performances in Peach Belt Conference action.
Langstaff II delivered a strong all-around effort on January 14 against Georgia College, scoring 13 points in 24 minutes while shooting 5-of-10 from the field, 2-of-5 from three-point range, and 1-of-2 at the free-throw line. He added six rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block, contributing on both ends of the floor.
He followed with an efficient showing on January 17 versus Georgia Southwestern, finishing with 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting, including 1-of-1 from beyond the arc. Langstaff II also recorded one rebound and one assist, continuing to provide production for the Cougars.
A junior from Asheville, N.C., Langstaff II is a graduate of Carolina Day School who transferred to Columbus State from Tallahassee State College and is majoring in Art; when asked about his favorite quote, he shared, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto thine own understanding."
