COLUMBUS, Ga. – The Columbus State University Baseball program has earned the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced.

The award recognizes ABCA member programs that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year.

Columbus State finished the season with a 30-22 overall record and an 18-12 mark in Peach Belt Conference play. The Cougars advanced to the final game of the PBC Tournament's Greenwood bracket before concluding their season against eventual tournament champion Lander.

Three Cougars earned All-Peach Belt Conference honors. Jackson Chizek received First Team recognition at second base and utility, while Jax Yoxtheimer earned First Team honors in the outfield. Cayden Evans was named a Second Team selection at first base. Bryce Knox also earned a spot on the ABCA Southeast Region All-Defensive Team.
