ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. - The Columbus State University women's golf team concluded play at the Flagler Fall Slam in ninth place after shooting a 317 on Tuesday. The 36-hole event was held at the Marsh Creek Country Club.

CSU improved its score by two strokes from the first round to end the tournament with a 636 (+60). No. 3 Limestone University (+25, 601) shot the best 18-hole team score of the event on Tuesday, firing a 297 to jump two spots to capture the team title. 

Leading the Lady Cougars on Tuesday was Ana Thorne, who shot a 5-over 77. She was 1-over through the front nine and nearly jumped into the top-20. Thorne finished tied for 23rd with a 12-over 156.

Selina Budde was one shot back from Thorne in round two. After a tough round one, Budde bounced back to card a 6-over 78 to finish tied for 52nd with a 19-over 163. 

Also finishing in 52nd was Madeleine Krueger. The transfer shot a 10-over 82 on Tuesday but was just 3-over after the turn. 

Victoria Libaak was hovering near the top-10 early on Tuesday but an 8-over 80 dropped the senior to 22nd. For the event, Libaak posted CSU's best two-round score with an 11-over 155.

Freshman Beryl Giletti had the drop score for Columbus State in round two with an 87. Overall, Giletti finished tied for 72nd with a 27-over 171.

Columbus State will return to the course in the early spring.
