COLUMBUS - The No. 12 Columbus State University baseball team will look to close its homestand on a high note on Wednesday when the Cougars host Tuskegee University at Burger King Stadium. First pitch is at 4 p.m. in Columbus.
COUGAR NOTES
• CSU is closing a five-game homestand, going 3-1 so far after taking two-of-three from Spring Hill College this past weekend. The Cougars have pushed across 41 runs in those four games

Jamie Boatright and
Robert Brooks grabbed Peach Belt Conference honors on Tuesday. Boatright was named the Pitcher of the Week after throwing eight shutout innings against Albany State University on Feb. 8, while Brooks was tabbed as the Player of the Week for the second straight week. Brooks was 6-for-13 with nine RBIs and two homers.

TUSKEGEE NOTES
• Tuskegee will be playing its first game since dropping a doubleheader at Florida Tech on Feb. 5. TU was swept in a three-game series against FT in Melbourne, Fla.
• Caleb Cobb was 4-for-9 in the series, while three other players recorded two hits over the opening weekend. Alex Glass knocked in two runs
• Eight different pitchers saw action against Florida Tech. Jalan Daniels punched out six in a five-inning start
• The Golden Tigers are playing their first seven games on the road this season
• Reginald Hollins is in his sixth season coaching at his alma mater
SERIES NOTES
• Columbus State and Tuskegee have been playing off-and-on over the last few decades with CSU dominating the all-time series.
