COLUMBUS - The Columbus State University women's golf team begins its spring schedule on Monday, teeing off in the 2022 World Golf Invitational at the Slammer & Squire Golf Course. Flagler College is hosting the annual 36-hole, two-day event in St. Augustine, Fla. 

Nineteen teams make up this year's field, including five teams ranked in the top-25 national Golfstat rankings. No. 7 Nova Southeastern and No. 10 Rollins College highlight the field.

CSU will begin the spring season where it left off the fall as the Lady Cougars are playing for the first time since the Flagler Fall Slam on Oct. 25 and 26. Columbus State had an impressive fall campaign, posting two top-two finishes, including winning the Jekyll Island Invitational at the Pink Lakes Golf Club in Jekyll Island, Ga. on Oct. 18 and 19. 

Beryl Giletti (74.9, 3rd), Victoria Libaak (75.0, 4th) and Ana Thorne (75.60, 5th) all rank inside the top-five in the Peach Belt Conference in stroke average so far this season. All three players have a top-five finish this year, with Giletti having three top-10 results under her belt.

CSU women's golf coach Bianca Lohbauer will send out Giletti, Libaak and Thorne, along with Selina Budde and Maddy Krueger this week to compete.
