COLUMBUS - After a schedule change, the No. 8 Columbus State University baseball team will host Point University in a midweek game on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Burger King Stadium at Ragsdale Field.
COUGAR NOTES
• CSU (13-3) was set to play Tuskegee University on Wednesday, however, that game was canceled and replaced with Point
• The Cougars are coming off taking 3-of-4 from Midwest Region powerhouse Quincy University this past weekend. CSU won the final three games of the series, including taking an 8-7 walkoff victory in game two

Matthew McDade was named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday. The junior hit five home runs, while driving in 10 to help CSU to a 4-1 week. He is tied for the PBC lead in homers (6) and third in runs (18) and RBIs (17)

Isaac Bouton have reached base in all 16 games this season. Minter's on-base streak stands at 19 dating back to last season

Robert Brooks leads the nation with 32 RBIs. The graduate senior already has two 5-RBI games and eight multi-RBI gamesÂ

Peyton Burton has allowed just one earned run over his last five appearances. The sophomore picked up a win and a save over the weekend against Quincy
• Columbus State has won 21 straight midweek games at home. CSU last loss won on Feb. 9, 2017, against West Georgia in 12 innings
• Columbus State is 133-38 (.778 winning percentage) in Columbus since the start of the 2015 season
POINT NOTES
• Point enters the midweek contest with a 7-8 record following taking a three-game series over Reinhardt UniversityÂ
• The Skyhawks are members of the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference for baseball
• Francisco Garica is hitting .341 with a homer and 11 RBIs for Point. The infielder has four doubles. Freshman Kole Sonnier has a team-high 12 RBIs with two homers
• Salter Greene has started both midweek games this season for the Skyhawks. Greene picked up a win on Feb. 15, despite allowing five runs in an 11-8 victory over Tocccoa FallsÂ
• The Skyhawk pitching staff has struggled with their command, walking 92 hitters over 15 games (6.13 per game). PU walked 16 in a game at Faulkner on Feb. 22
