COLUMBUS - After two weekends on the road, the seventh-ranked Columbus State University baseball team returns home to host Young Harris College in a three-game Peach Belt Conference series beginning on Friday.

CSU NOTES
• The Cougars (23-4, 8-1 PBC) are looking to stay hot, carrying a five-game winning streak into Friday. CSU was scheduled to play at Albany State University, but rain forced a postponementÂ
• CSU moved up to seventh in this week's NCBWA national poll. The Cougars are also second in the latest Collegiate Baseball Newspaper rankings
• Columbus State has won 14 straight home series dating back to the 2019 season
• The Cougars haven't lost a series of any kind in 2022 (7-0)
• CSU has scored 10 or more runs in four of its last six games. The Cougars scored at least 10 runs in all three games in last weekend's sweep at Augusta Universit
• CSU leads the nation in runs (296) and walks (163) entering the weekend. CSU is also second in homers (51) and sacrifice flies (22) and fourth in runs per game (11.0)
• Individually, Colby Brabston ranks fifth nationally in walks (26), Robert Brooks is fourth in RBIs (41), Isaac Bouton is ninth in runs (36) and Matthew McDade is 22nd in homers (9)
• Devin Dudal and Colton Joyner are the only pitchers in the PBC with five victories
• The CSU bullpen threw 5.1 scoreless innings last weekend against Augusta. Over the past four games, the bullpen has thrown 12.1 innings, allowing just one run with 14 strikeouts
• Peyton Burton (0.93 ERA, 19.1 IP), Austin Elliot (1.29 ERA, 14 IP), Logan Seehafer (1.84 ERA, 14.2 IP) and Zack Brockman (2.03 ERA, 13.1 IP) all have been leaders out of the Cougar bullpen
• The Cougars have won eight straight at Burger King Stadium and are 12-2 so far in 2022 in Columbus
YOUNG HARRIS NOTES
• Young Harris (19-7, 7-2 PBC) is right behind Columbus State in the PBC standings entering play on Friday. YHC is tied with Flagler College for second in the league after dropping two-of-three to FC last weekend
• The Moutain Lions bounced back in midweek action to defeat Mars Hill College 12-6 on Tuesday. Rome Wallace was 3-for-4 with a 3-run homerÂ
• Ethan Underwood is in the hunt for the PBC batting title halfway through the season. Underwood is second in the conference with a .398 average to go along with a 1.001 OPS. He is one of four YHC players with 20 or more RBIs, carrying 23 into Friday's contest
• Jackson Jones (.354, 3 HRs, 5 2Bs and Noah Fitzgerald (.318, 4 HRs, 7 2Bs) pace Young Harris with 26 RBIs.
• Pitching is Young Harris' strength as the Mountain Lions are second in the PBC with a 3.87 team ERA. YHC is 13th in the nation in strike-to-walk-ratio (3.19), punching out 217 hitters so far this year
• Starting pitcher Nate Lamb holds a 3-2 record with a 2.54 ERA in six starts. The lefty is holding hitters to a .227 average and has punched out 32 hitters in 28.1 innings.
• McLain Harris is a workhorse out of the bullpen, making 13 appearances with a 1.31 ERA
